Fit For A King

I have always been fascinated with the history of King Henry VIII and the lives of his six wives. So for a fun little project I am going to create a character design for each of his wives. I have been wanting to do this for a while, it is going to be fun to draw my own versions of how I've always pictured them.

To start off here is my version of Henry VIII.

Little Owl Sculpt

A couple days ago I decided to do a quick little maquette of a eastern red screech owl. I did the sculpt in one day, the armature the day before and it was really fun to bust out a sculpture so fast! On the far left is the quick, rough concept design I did before sculpting.

Happy holidays!

Fat Unicorns

I started doodling unicorns the other day. I drew them constantly when I was a kid and I probably haven't drawn one since then but now I just feel like drawing fat unicorns...

Potoo to You

Birds are weird. These are just a couple of doodles from my sketchbook of the Common Potoo, one of the strangest birds I have ever heard of. They like to sit on trees and pretend to be branches. Seriously, research the Potoo and be amazed at how awesome they are. You can't get much cooler than the Potoo.

Different Stripes

I just bought a giant animal encyclopedia and have been going nuts with it. There are some really funky looking creatures out there let me tell yah. For some reason have been on a big cat spree, so I decided to play with some tiger designs!
